Happy Mardi Gras!

We started off today with a great discussion of more "bl" words. They were able to brainstorm some more words.

Zachary helped us figure out what a blouse is.

And our teacher for the day, Miss Aubriana, did a great job of matching the word block to the picture.

Then partners worked together to sort more "bl" words. They worked hard!

During writing, we reviewed what pronouns are and practiced starting off sentences with pronouns instead of using the famous "I like..." phrase going on in my class. I even had them work on writing three sentences to tell their story from their heart today. I saw some great writing going on! It made this former 3rd grade teacher proud!

I loved seeing Nolan and Nicholas working together on using the big blend chart!

Elisa and John were chosen as our PE All Stars today. Way to go!

Although we didn't have a Mardi Gras celebration, Zachary's family was nice enough to share some beads with our entire class. So fun!

Do you think Zachary had enough beads from the Mardi Gras parade to share? I've been itching to show y'all this pic! Love it! ;) thanks for sharing the fun with us!

Don't forget that the Valentine's Day party is this Thursday at 1:00! Be sure to send your child's decorated box and cards by then.
