More talented Roberts folk and a fun putting

Yesterday we got to see some MORE talented people within our own school! We heard more amazing singers, saw some more cup tricks and dancing, we even saw out own version of the Harlem Globetrotters! Wow! That's all I can say!!!

Then we got to see Miss Elisa's roly polys and snail that she caught over the weekend. So cool!!! Brought back so many childhood memories for me!

We started this morning by reviewing our blends with a game of concentration. I love Zack's own concentration!

Apparently the kiddos are planning on making these last few days bittersweet for me! Without even discussing it, the majority of them chose to free write about their favorite teacher today. They were all soooo cute and soooo sweet!!!

After school, I had a play date with Zachary at Pinnacle Mountain Park. His parents won this silent auction item at Roberts Rendezvous back in February. We had a feet time with some of the other kinder teachers and boys! We even ha a surprise run in with Elisa!

We had the privilege of having local author, Carol Dabney, visit our class today. She read her books based on her experiences living in Hawaii and about her military daughter. The kids enjoyed hearing her stories, listening to her songs that she wrote, teaching them sign language, and listening to her play the ukulele.

Roberts has talent!

Thursday was our school talent show. I'm always so impressed with the talent that this school has!!! We had many amazing pianists, dancers, an singers. We even had a baton twirler and 2 cup stacking acts!

During free write time, Rachel wrote about going to visit her Aunt Ashley in Atlanta this weekend. She's been super excited about it all week!

Aubriana was the teacher for the day yeaterday and she brought a slinky for Show and Tell. I was surprised as to how many of them has never seen one! So we had to go test it out on the stairs. So fun!!!

Mrs. Jenkins came for GT time and helped them work on patterns. They caught on pretty quickly!

We had a beautiful afternoon to enjoy some outdoor time!

I hope y'all have a fantastic weekend!!!

Talk about a way to start the morning yesterday! Avaleigh wrote this card for me saying how much she'll miss me! Then I had to send all of my Kinders to 1st grade during our Kindergarten safari. Talk about emotional!

And then to top it off, my daughter joined us for Kindergarten safari since she'll be here next year! This is Mary Elizabeth with her lifelong buddy Kade. They've been in the same class since birth!

Look at all of these little cuties!

These friends visited kindergarten from Mrs. Strom's class. They worked hard on coloring!

My little mini me helped me lead a monkey song for all of our new friends. They caught on so fast!

Since I didn't get to go with my friends to first grade, I asked them to write about their experience in their journals. Zachary had other (more important) topics on his mind instead. Ha!

Chloe and Wes were the Music all stars. Way to go!

Today we were busy with centers, reading, assessments, etc. So this is the only pic I snapped today! Chloe was the teacher and got to use my computer to help us count down how many days are left (15 if you were wondering) since she couldn't reach the top. You would've thought I had given her $1 million and none to the other kids when I told her to use my computer. Ha!

I hope you all have a fantastic evening! Don't forget that kindergarten celebration is one week from today. You can pay online. Also, field day is next Thursday!
