Day 128

It was so good to see my Kinders again today and it was so good to know that they were excited to be back!

We started back on full swing with reviewing blends. This week we're focusing on the CR blend.

We brainstormed some CR words. Check 'em out!

My all time fave!

Then we CReated CREatures using clay. So fun!

Then we worked on using word parts to help us spell new words.

In math, we reviewed 2d shapes and discussed how many sides and corners each shape has.

You gotta love this booklet!

Then we focused on hexagons.

They did a great job of using other shapes to create hexagons too!

Day 127

Lilly was so excited to receive her Scholastic book order just in time for Spring Break! Be on the lookout for your kiddo's April order form in their backpack!

This afternoon was all about shapes! We sorted a bunch of 2D shapes and then we tasted some shapes! It was a fun filled afternoon!

Then we wrote about our favorite color of the rainbow and explained why it was our favorite color. They did a great job explaining!

I hope you all have a great Spring Break and are able to take some time to slow down. Don't forget to text me pics of your cuties while they're having fun next week!

Day 126

We worked hard on putting together our rainbow books!

Mrs. Jenkins read this to the class today, then they had to use their noggins to do a fun activity about what dogs think.

These cuties were working hard with sounding out their words in reading group!

My team got to go to Retro Cafe again!!!! Yeah!!!

We're working on plants now...isn't Rasikh's drawing the perfect way to kick off Spring?

On St. Party's Day, I taught them how to draw a leprechaun. The next pic is their take on it...I LOVE THEM!!!

We've been working on exclamation marks all week. They are getting really excited about Spring!!!

Emma lost her first tooth in the middle of writing...exciting stuff!!!

And we finished our poster about 2D shapes. They worked hard on it!

We even got to go outside for PAT!!!

Day 125

Since leprechauns and gold ate found at the end of the rainbow, we'll be focusing on rainbows this week. All of the colors make me so happy and ready for Spring!!!

We're reviewing sight words this week. They're getting really good with using them correctly in sentences and not starting with "I like..."!

Shona helped us read a book about maps.

In math, we're learning all about the properties of 2D shapes. They started helping me make a poster to hang in the class to help us remember the important things about each shape.

I'm really sad to say that out teammate Kevin will be leaving us. So we made him a giant card ad gave him a big group hug at the end of the day. We sure will miss this spunky cutie!!!

Day 124

Happy St. Patty's Day! I had so fun celebrating with these little nuggets!

Sophie brought some box tops to add to our collection....yeah!

What a fun day for Janya to have a birthday! I live her smile!!!

Shona brought me a little happy for today...a mug full of chocolate!

We got to watch the "Wizard of Oz" this morning! Amazing doesn't even describe how awesome this play was!!! Mrs. Stacker's daughter played Dorothy. Her set if lungs blew me away!

When we got back from the play and lunch, we found a big ole mess in our room! Apparently Lucky the Leprechaun came into our room and made a glittery mess! But at least he brought us a treat...Leorechaub Pudding! So of course, we had to turn his treat into a reading/writing/science project!

We also worked on our motor /listening skills by making shamrocks and learning how to draw leprechauns. They turned out so cute!

Then we wrote about shamrocks.

And we even got to go to the library today! They learned all about eagle and about the parts of a nonfiction book.

We truly have the best PTA and they support/spoil us so much! The staff received these little goodies today from the PTA!
