Gracie was our Player of the Day. Woohoo!
We wrapped up our gingerbread unit today. And even though I had already planned to do this myself, my daughter was anxious to know which gingerbread character was our favorite. So she made this survey for us yesterday.
I hope y'all have a great weekend!!!

Malyn was our top First in Math player from yesterday. Those points just keep going up and up! Way to go!
We talked about the -in word family today. This is so tricky for us Arkansans! But I'm so impressed with the words that they came up with!!!
This afternoon we founded on more gingerbread talk and worked on adding gingerbread.
We even did a taste test of gingerbread men! They had to close their eyes to take the first bite. Then we graphed to see where the majority of the class bit first...the head was the first to go with most of them!
Look at all of these adorable NOT gingerbread men!

68 days smarter!

We started the day off with finding a note that Miss Elfie painted us reminding us to always make good choices. Sadly my picture turned out really blurry to show it off.

Then Lucy L shared her big sister's loose tooth case with us. Her Elf on the Shelf even left her a note. I love getting daily led reports from their homes!
We practiced completing number sentences by finding the sum during Chit Chat.
We worked on blending words, sounding them out, and writing them. They're getting so good at this!
We also learned all about the letter j and focused on the correct path of movement and the correct direction of it!
Author Carol Dabney came again today. This time she read her Christmas book that she wrote and had her sister-in-law read the same book in Spanish. The kiddos LOVED hearing the the Spanish version!
