Cold days 107 and 108

Although this was a very short week, we psked a lot of learning in to those two quick days!welearned a lot about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln!

It looks like during our days off, some of my cuties got crafty while others played First in Math!
On Friday, we continued learning more about our former presidents.
We even made some time to play an old fashioned game of Hot Potato...but we had to use rhyming words only. They loved playing this!

Happy Valentines Day

We wrapped their Valentine gifts this morning. They did such a good job with helping each other! I hope that you all received your heart from your little sweetheart!
Rudra gave me these Snickers and was so excited about it!!!
During centers, I captured this sweet moment of Malyn reading a story to all of the animals! Melt my heart!!!
The kids were so busy carefully reading everyone's name on the cards and passing them out!
The party was so fun and full of sugar! Thanks to everyone that helped!!! I know they all had a blast!!!!
And here are a few of my sweethearts with their daddy's from the dance last week. I know they all had a fun time and will remember it forever!

We wrapped up our unit on Dr. Martin Luther King yesterday and today. They learned some pretty big words!
And nothing says Friday like wearing a cape! Lucy was a hit with her cape from her grandma today.

85 days smarter!

Mrs. Jenkins came to our class today to work on algorithms. It was so cute to hear them try to pronounce that word! This required them to add details in their directions. So she had Zada try to explain to her how to draw a smiley face. They learned that with fewer details, the end result might not turn out the way they want.
Shortly after Mrs. Jenkins' lesson, Jackson informed me that he knew how to cook a giant. I think his directions were pretty clear!
During writing, we wrapped up our unit on snowmen and wrote about them.
Jackson and Kylie brought toys in for the toy drive that started today. I love seeing kids with a giving heart!
We ended our day talking about magnets. They caught onto what it magnetic and what's not pretty quickly!

A love-filled week

We had visitors from the Mosaic Templars Museum come talk to us this week about getting along with everyone. They even showed us how to make these cute friendship bracelets!

I'm so proud of my kiddos for getting to sit in the Retro Cafe again!!!
Check out these CUTE boxes that everyone made for the Valentines party! Such creativity!

Don't these tow sweethearts look so handsome for the party?!?!
