Day 9

Have you had a chance to read the Roberts Rhetoric yet? The book fair and grandparents day is approaching! I've added this even along with many other upcoming events on the left side of this blog!

Many of you have asked me about how we manage all 9 K classes during lunch and recess. Trust me...we have fabulous helper! But they could always use extra hands throughout the week! You're welcome to volunteer once a week, once a month, or whatever fits your schedule if you can! It's a great way to see your kids interact with their new friends!

Miss Janya was out queen today. She showed us a lot of her stuffed animals. We learned that she loves to play with them.

We read a few nursery rhymes today and worked on retaking the story. They did a great job!

We practiced rainbow writing letters k an l today. Please allow your child to practice writing their letters at home any time they can!

I let the kids do center rotations today! I've only opened 2 centers so far so we can just keep practicing correct procedures and build our stamina...they will be expected to work in a center for about 20 minutes!

Emma and Kevin did great with reading to someone else using the nursery rhyme poems!

I let one group work on making rainbows using glue sticks. This is great practice for their motor skills. They did great!

I introduced the blue journals to the kiddos today. We worked in labeling about our senses.

During math, we worked on our counting collections procedures. Janya and Ava did a fabulous job demonstrating how to sit "EEKK" (elbow-to-elbow-knee-to-knee)!

We've been Lear big so many rules and procedures the past two weeks, but I'm sure proud of them for keeping it al straight!
