Day 10

Mr. Max was the king on Friday. He did a great job with telling us about all of his special things. He even did a magic trick with a coloring book!

Our literacy coach, Mrs. R. Geurin visited the class Friday morning to do a Humpty Dumpty activity with the group. They did a great job!

Mr. Max helped us with spelling August using our August song. I'm so glad the kids don't mind my terrible singing! 😉

We practiced going to a few centers again on Friday, too. We had to review what an appropriate noise level was and how to share with our partners. I love how Sophie and Maya are showing a great example of reading to someone else (their teddy bears)!

Since we've been learning about our 5 senses, we talked about which senses we could use with a dog. To help them visualize a little better, I showed a picture of a golden doodle (the kind of dog I'm really hoping to get very soon!) to discus our senses. So Max drew me a picture of a golden doodle and brought it to me on Friday to hang up in my class so I can have a golden doodle now. I love how sweet Kinders are!!!!

Then we reviewed our senses again by singing our senses song. They're getting better at pointing to the word that we are saying, too!

I showed the class how to use clipboards on Friday during writing. This is just one more way to make learning a little more exciting for them but it helps me to see who needs a little extra help with certain skills. I even let them use pens! You would've thought I had given them candy with all of their excitement!

On Fridays, they go to PE with Coach D. He will choose two star students each week. This week it was Sophie an Peter. Way to go! Remember to send your kiddos in appropriate shoes for PE every Friday!

I hope y'all are enjoying this nice loooong weekend and that enjoyed our win yesterday! WPS!!!
