More or less?

We've been learning about comparing numbers this week. We've learned what greater than, less than, and equal mean. We've also learned that the alligator ALWAYS eats the bigger number! The kids got to work with their partners today to ply a card game called "More or Less". You can play this at home with just a deck of cards (or anything else number related like 4 spoons on one side and 6 spoons on the other) and a post it note. Since we're learning the correct direction to read a sentence, I made them read thei number sentence out loud with their partner from left to right. Some of the boys didn't like my rule about that because they just wanted to hurry up and win. ;) You gotta love friendly competition between boys!








Since I had an odd. Umber of students today, Lezlie got to play More/Less with the dice on the Smart Board. I love her alligator teeth eating the bigger number.
