Day 65

We had several out today but we still worked hard! We did a lot of review.


Mrs. Jenkins talked to us about being thankful. Then they had to complete a color by number sheet by reading the color words. They were so excite to discover it was a turkey!





During snack time, I let them use their adorable placemats before they took them home.





We even made these cute turkey headbands during writing. They had to write three things they were thankful for one the feathers.


We went to library this afternoon to learn all about electricity. She read Blackout to the group, too.





I hope that everyone has a warm night at home tonight! Remember that our Larry's pizza fundraiser is cancelled due to the weather!

Day 65

Book Character Day was a blast! Thank you to everyone that participated!!!! Also, thank you to those that donated blankets, books, and food today!








The kids loved marching in the parade and then getting to sit in the hall to watch the rest of the school!




















After the parade, we had judges come judge the entire school!

Cason won the best costume for our class. It was a pretty creative costume!

Day 64

We got more food for the food drive today! I'm so impressed!


We celebrated both of these cuties' birthdays today!


I let everyone share their Venn diagrams about themselves and their book character. Great job!











During calendar math, we've been working on skip counting. I catch Mary Elizabeth and I singing the songs while we're cooking. Have your kiddos sing the songs wherever they can!


We're working hard on phonemes this week and sounding out words!


We worked more on j and x words.


Rain means no outdoor recess which means talkative afternoons. So I let them have a little bit of chat time this PM. All of my boys instantly grabbed their library books so they could talk about the pix with each other. Wow!


We worked on another word problem. They did great!











We've been getting creative with creating sentiences using subjects and our new sight words!


Grays mom sent me this pic of Gray setting the table for dinner since we've been talking about manners. I love this!

Day 60

We got more donations from these cuties this morning!


Mariana brought in this rock that she got from the caverns near Branson. Of course I loved it since it was hot pink!!! Max even came up with a joke about it...he said that the rock was hot because it was hot pink. Ha!


Aaden helped us learn all about the letter x today.


Mrs. Jenkins came in to talk to us more about imagination. They got really creative using one squiggly line! Shona turned hers into a high heel.


Gray said that his was a pic of his dad when he was young.


Emma turned her line into a fairy.


We learned our new sight words for the week..."with" and "my".


This afternoon we learned about thanksgiving and turkeys. Then we took a survey to see who either liked or ate turkey.

Day 59

We had a lot of donations today! I'm so proud of these giving hearts!!!








Sean has been working hard on his art pie e for the PTA Reflections contest. He turned it in today.


My awesome class was so phenomenal with their behavior yesterday that they earned a third trip to the Retro Cafe!!!











During math, we did a cute turkey activity using number cubes. They did a great job!


Jordyn and Cason were the PE all stars. Look at how happy they are! 😃
