A SLow, SLeepy Monday!

We started this morning with a game of blend hot potato. If your kids came home singing "My hands are on fire!", I'm so sorry! We reviewed words that began with BL and a few of the kiddos held the hot potato too long. So we sang Alicia Keys style. Pretty cute!

I then introduced them to the SL blend. Please help them think of some big words with this blend or any of the other blends we've already learned. We'll be adding to all of our blend charts throughout the rest of the year!


Zachary showed off his drawing of him being SLeepy. I love all of my Kinder friends artistic ability!


Wes demonstrated our new way to be able to go to the bathroom or how to exit our classroom. Each week I'm going to post our new sight words on both of the doors. They'll have to high five it and say the word in order to pass by the door. I love getting great ideas from my other fabulous K teachers at Roberts!


In math, we are still working on number bonds (part-part-whole) to help build our addition fluency. Today we created number bond people. Lezlie gave her number Bond girl 1 toe on one foot and 9 toes on the other to give her friend 10 whole toes. These turned out super cute!
