Day 99

A new month means a new song to learn first thing in the morning. They love our monthly songs!

And they were excited to find so many sight words and word families or blends they already knew!

We even did some skip counting during calendar math.

And learned some new skills with our calendar math.

These little Kinders are finding sight words everywhere these days! I'm so proud of them!

We learned our new blend and word family for the week today..."ot" and "fl".

We had a visitor from another kinder class come tell is why she was sad that the groundhog saw his shadow...she wants to just get to go jump on her trampoline outside!

Mrs. Jenkins came and read Millions of Cats and played "Cat Talk" with them. They really had to use their thinking caps!

We got to write our opinions about the groundhogs results too. The majority of my Kinders were excited to have more winter so they can have snowball fights, but a few of us just want to be able to get outside and play!

We're reviewing sight words all week. Please help them at home find pick them out in their books and then use them in original sentences.

We started talking about subtraction today! Can you believe we're already to that point?!?! So fun!

And we finally got to go to the library for a lesson today! They loved getting to hear the Fly Guy books!
