Day 38

We started off the day with a fun announcement! Our class was chosen to eat in the Retro Cafe today because they displayed great behavior yesterday in the Dining Room!!!! I caught their faces when they heard my name on the morning announcements. They were elated as was I!!!


But even with their excitement, I was thrilled to see/hear all of this reading to themselves as soon as they came in this morning and say down!


But the quietness didn't last too long because they spotted a "vulture owl bird", as they named it, right outside my window. That was fun to see!





Finally, I was able to get them to focus and work on writing -ap words.


Miss Emma was a great helper for dining ap words!





Before we went to lunch, we received these cool stickers!


Boys were called "Dining Room Dudes" and girls were called "Dining Room Divas". They both had records on their stickers; however, they called them CDs! I even heard one ask what is a record? Ha!

In writing we worked on sensory words.





And comparing/contrasting with sensory words.





We even compared during math.


Then we worked on sentence building by talking about pumpkins. They know a lot about pumpkins!





Then we got a visit from the Boosterthon people. We earned our first incentive!!! Be on the lookout for a memo about pajama day! Woohoo to not having to get dreased!!!!





And Shona was chosen as the Art star today! Way to go!!!
