We've been working on the short a sound, learning how to sound out the words to write them , and finding sight words in reading. I'm so impressed with their progress compared to just a few weeks ago!
We're wrapping up our unit about apples so were writing all about them now. I love Cash's sentence!
On Friday, we played a short a sound word game. They did great working with partners!
We had a visit from 3rd graders that were collecting data about fall leaves. The kids thought that was so cool that they came to us to ask us our opinion!
We've been working really hard on getting our reading group routines in place and using our reading strategies. Lanai was so excited when she found our calendar word in the title!

How exciting! Right as we were getting ready for dismissal, Lucy H. Lost her first tooth! We were all so excited for her!!!
