A busy week file with elves and gingerbread

Last week, we had a full week of fun learning. First, they got to choose a book to keep "forever" thanks to the PTA.

We learned about "ed" words.

We finished our reindeer writing. They did so good with this cute craftivitiy!

They worked hard during center time.

I read a bunch of the free Scholastic books that our class received from parent orders!

We did a few brain breaks after lunch since they couldn't go outside. I love watching them do these songs!

Lilly's mom brought us the perfect craft for us to work on during our gingerbread unit.

We did several different activities that focused on the variety of gingerbread man stories.

Have you been hearing stories about Power Puff? She brought us a gift for the room...an easel for literacy centers!!!

Gray brought me a sweet little Starbucks gift!

Ava brought grilling gloves for our Rendezvous basket!

I love getting visitors from other classes to see their work! Samantha from Mrs. Geurin's class drew me a picture.

After Power Puff saw how much everyone loved their new books from the PTA and their bookmark that they got, she brought them gingerbread bookmarks!

We continued working on "ed" words and illustrated a few phrases.

On Friday, Mrs. Geurin had a surprise reader...my father-in-law from NYC. He came to read to Mary Elizabeth's class so I had to borrow him for my class, too! They loved the book he read...Santa is coming to Arkansas.

And they LOVED getting to ask him questions!!!

In writing, we worked on building sentences and focused on finger spaces.

Rasikh and Kevin had a good time being the first one to use the new easel!

Mariana, our little class artist, had some extra time to work on illustrating her story.

Phew! I'm tired just thinking about everything we did last week!
