2 weeks into Kindergarten

The 2nd week of school was great! I could tell that the kids were picking up on the routines and doing the right thing! We start each morning with our King/Queen of the Day...we've loved hearing all about our friends so far!  King Jack showed us his hockey jersey. So fun!
The kids did a great job making their scrapbook pages and sharing them with us!
We started working with math partners this week. They all worked so well together!
We practiced using. Our scissors and glue properly this week. Such an important skill!
Jack H brought a who our cushion to demonstrate when he was the King! The kids loved it!
We learned how to use marker boards and dry erase markers. They loved these tools!
Each morning, we meet in the flax space with the other kindergarten classes for the morning announcements. A different   kindergartener gets chosen to be the flag holder for the pledge! They love this! Kids need to arrive no later than 7:30 to be chosen for flag holder.
A few of my queens have brought outfits to model for us. Love it!
We started working on properly forming our letters.
Each Friday, the kids earn an extra physical activity (PAT time) for working so hard during the week. I'm so proud of them!
Jaydin and Abby were our first PE MVP All Stars! Way to go guys!

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Our first week of Kindergarten was great!!! It was full of learning all new rules and procedures, meeting new friends exploring our school, and practicing using all of our "tools". Im looking forward to the great year that's ahead of us!

Spring is here and we're growing so much!!! I have so many "reading machines" in my classroom now! Here is a recap of what happened with a Team Dees during April.
They love going to music and getting to perform!
They had a blast at The Wonder Place!
We planted seeds and having been growing caterpillars. Always a fun time!
We had a Safety Twon and learned a lot of important safety tips!
We made promises to help keep our Earth clean for Earth Day.
