60 day smarter!

Zero the Hero stopped by this morning to celebrate the fact that these hard workers have been in school for 60 days now! It feels like this year is flying by too fast!
LeLe was our player of the day for First in Math. I can tell that these kids are loving this website and are getting competitive to earn the badge to wear the next day!
We couldn't start our day off until we voted and compared our opinions about who would win the boot this weekend!
Look at all of these op words they wrote on the board!
My little man Rudra was working on reading with me during centers today. He's getting so good and I love how all of my friends are so helpful with making sure that he understands our English!
We've been working on these turkey placemats all week that they'll get to use next Thursday for the Thanksgiving lunch in the dining room. I love making these every year!
During writing, we worked on writing about turkey's and making sure we had at least two adjectives in our sentences. Great job!!
LeLe brought the first blanket for the blanket drive! Don't forget that the blankets must be new blankets.
These two sweet girls earned the MVP award in PE today. Woohoo!!!
I had these two former Team Dees members visit today. Such a fun surprise to see my kiddos all grown up!!!! My class thought they were 20. Nope...just in 6th grade. Ha!
Here's one more pic of LaNiah setting the table. I love that sweet smile! Thank to everyone who sent pics this week! I've loved seeing them and hearing about family traditions!

59 days smarter!

Can y'all believe the weather this morning?!?! Wow!!!
Today we focused on short o words. They came up with so many so fast!
Check out these adorable placemats that we'll be using next week for the thanksgiving lunch in the dining room...too cute!
I sent home sight words thanksgiving sentences for homework. Today we read them to pracice fluency (to not sous like a robot).
Then we labeled parts of a turkey. They did great with sounding out words!
I am living these pics of your cuties setting the table!!! Thanks so much!!!

57 days smarter!

We started off the day with a very fun mystery reader! Lucy L's dad came with voices and all! Thanks so much for kicking off our Veteran's Day with such fun!
Mikey was a great helper and did a great job with helping us sort out words!
Thanksgiving is almost here so that means that we have a bunch of fun craftivities in front of us! Check out Rudra's motor skills concentration!
Lucy L wanted to show us what she's been doing with her new Kindle that she won from the Book it readathon. So fun!
We talked about adjectives in writing and described turkeys. Wow! They already knew a lot about turkeys!
Mrs. Jakoet taught a cute and fun math lesson about the number 10 using ladybug dots today. They love listening to her!
I was soooo happy to see this cute face today!!! He is a former Team Dees member that transferred to another school this year  m but transferred back to Roberts last week. I truly live getting to see my former friends in the hallway and catch up with them to see how they're doing!
Jackson was our player of the day for First in Math today. He was super excited to wear the badge today!

58 days smarter!

During our morning Chit Chat we've been working on editing sentences based on mistakes that I've seen in their writing. They've gotten really good at quickly finding those mistakes in my sentences and fixing them!
Mrs. Jakoet helped us work on identifying words that contain d. They had fun making their own d word books!
We've been working on this writing project this week about what we're thankful for. These cuties worked so hard on their motor and writing skills!
I love how cute these all turned out! And I can't wait for you to see them!
During free write time, Taneesha wrote about playing with her sister. She did an amazing job sharing her writing with the class and talking about how she wanted to add more details to her story!
This afternoon we learned some pretty interesting facts about turkeys and then we wrote about them. Did you that the turkeys that we usually eat are called tame animals and are typically white? Ask your kiddo what else they leant ed about turkeys!
Since it was too cold to go outside for PAT, we stayed inside to have extra center time. I guess this means that they get to take selfies with the iPads too! Ha!
I love the pictures that I've already received for the cuties setting the table and I've so enjoyed hearing about it too! Keep sending those pics please!

I am soo living Christians pjs and the fact that his sweet pup is photobombing!!!
I'm so impressed that Lawson was able to set the table for all of his siblings and the fact that it's hot soup! How perfect for such a cold night!
It looks like sweet Kylie did a great job with setting her family table!
