Well we started Friday off right! We voted FOR the Hogs to win! I hope they're right!
These cuties are doing great at finding sight words!

Sacha was our last queen. She did a great job leading us in cheering her name!
And LaNiah got to share her things for show and tell. I love the sass!
We practiced working/exploring in centers. I love seeing their creativity!
These little piggies were pros with the computers!
After working so hard in centers, we did some stretching with gonoodle.com. You have to check out this website whenever your kiddos need a break at home!
Cash and Lucy L. were chosen for the PE MVPs...way to go!
At the end of the day, we had a mystery reader from one of my former Team Dees members. I love getting to see how much my former students have grown! And the kids love having visitors coming to read to them! If you would like to come in as a mystery reader, be sure to check the volunteer spot link or email me!

Rudra was the flag holder today. He was so proud to hold the flag!!!
Author/illustrator Jarrett Krosoczka visited us today. The kids loved hearting his stories and watching him illustrate right there on the spot!
LaNiah was a great queen today and helped up figure out that we've been in school for 17days already!
I got to eat lunch with my toothless 1st grade munchkin and some of my former students. It was fun to be able to hear what they thought about 1st grade!
Then I got to see some of Team Dees in action in the playground. I love Josiah's smile!
We're learning all about letters A and at this week an working on the path of movement.
After working so hard, everyone needs a break right? We LOVE using gonoodle.com to help us get our wiggles out! You can check it out at home too!
We went to the computer lab today. I always love taking the Kinders there for their first visit!!! It's fun to see how many of them try to tap the screen like an iPad!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's special friends/grandparents tomorrow!
Zada was the flag holder today. I know you can't tell but she was all smiles!!! It's been fun to see my class on the screen every morning!
Gracie was the queen today. She brought an amethyst to show us. The adjectives that the class used were impressive!

Don't forget that Grandparent's Day is this Thursday! I look forward to meeting everyone's special friends!!!

The 4th week of school

Lawson was our school's flag holder today. Instead of smiling about his fun badge, he chose to give me a silly face about it! Malyn was a great queen today! And so polite!!!
Our sight word for the week is "like". Please help your kiddos use this in sentences and find it in their stories!
We wrapped up our unit about senses by doing a taste test. We discovered that we have different taste buds and that not everyone's taste buds like the same things. The boys especially didn't like the dark chocolate!

Author Jarrett Krosoczka is coming on Wednesday, so Mrs. Cantrell read one of his books to us today. What a fun book!
