Rainbow Write Time

The kids have really gotten the hang of Rainbow Write time. I introduce how to write a new letter of the alphabet everyday and then we practice writing it with the co,IRS of the rainbow. Today I let them try writing the "f" on the Smart board...they loved that!

Why are they playing with blocks?

Ok, they aren't playing with blocks. They're using geo blocks as another manipulative for math. Using various sorts of tools in math helps with their counting and developing many concepts well into the upper grades. I sure wish I could've had this much fin while doing math as a kid!

Where are we going today, teacher?

I get that question at least once a day...I love it! Besides recess, I think pull-outs are probably most of the students favorite thing to do at school. ;)

The kids were so excited about getting to go to PE. They did a great job with Coach Apsche!

Here is our schedule just in case you need it:
Monday: Music 1-2
Tuesday: Counselor 9-9:30, PE 1-2
Wednesday: Library 1-1:30 (bi-weekly), Computer 1:30-2
Thursday: Art 12:15-12:55
Friday: GT 1-1:30

Snack time

Thank you so much for signing up to send snacks! And thank you to those that already have sent snacks! I'll be sending a note home to remind you when your week for snacks is. Please remember that we have 20 kids and we'll need snacks (preferably individually wrapped) for the entire week.

It's great to be king or queen for a day!

The kids have been doing a great job with sharing their favorite things when they're the king/queen of the day! I've really enjoyed getting to learn about what everyone is interested in...a lot of Wii. ;)

Queen Elisa shared her Teddy bear with us that kept her safe from the rain last week.

King John was proud to show off pictures of his family! He also brought Green Eggs and Ham for me to read to the class.

Queen Alexee showed us her cute poodles and, of course, she brought some flowers because she loves them!

King Emilio showed off his soccer medal. He sure was proud of it!

King Zachary brought in a bunch of my favorites...chocolate and a stuffed Razorback. WPS!

Queen Carrie showed us her sweet Teddy bear.

King Adam said he loves to eat Teddy Graham's....yummo!

Queen Aubriana did a great job sharing photos of all of her family.

King Nolan was our first King. He did a great job of setting a good example with telling us about all of their faves.
